BioI mostly joined Live Journal to connect with Harry Potter fans around the world, because like them, I don't have enough real life people in my life who want to talk obsessively about a boy wizard becoming a man. I enjoy fanfic, all kinds so far and am becoming the fan girl of a few select writers who just amaze me with their talents. And yes, I am over 18 so I can read whatever I want!
Earlier this year (2007) I went to my first Harry Potter Conference, Phoenix Rising and while there a friend and I discussed what our next publishing project would be. It took us less than a month to become inspired and to create, Tears of the Phoenix, a grass roots literary charity that will allow fanfic writers to have original works published and to help raise money for worthy literary causes; the first being Rebuild New Orleans Public Libraries.
